[Edited Because I Fracking Can]

Welcome to the Secret Confessions thread. Beyond the pure anonymity of the internet, there lies a certain level of understanding behind all the accounts here on FF. The SC account carries burden of allowing the user to give a candid, private confession with (hopefully) understanding feedback. The SC thread is for other posters to give kind and/or helpful advice, words of empathy, or a secret of their own (under the SC name or not).

This account is a group account, and EVERYONE needs to treat it respectfully. By posting under the Secret Confessor, you are pledging to refrain from hate mail, "finger-pointing", insulting and being a jerkface. By posting in the SC thread, you are pledging to keep the comments respectful. This has not yet been a problem, but it's nice to have written down "just in case".

If you would like to use the SC account for ANY reason beside posting in this thread, please PM me- even if it's under the SC name (this is not to exert authority, but to maintain order over a very accessible account).

Thank you!

Or cats. If you can find a cat that's actually nice/sociable, they're just as good as dogs.

Unfortunately, fish do not do the same. No. They only look pretty.

Yesh you are pretty.  :D
I have two cats and a chihuahua. Neither will save me if someone breaks in. But the chihuahua makes me feel a helluva lot safer than the cats do.
My cats seem to enjoy killing things, and are happy to attack people they don't like if they come to close. Sure, I know they're tiny and won't do much but, it's something, which is more than most dogs who just like everyone and simply want to lick them.

My cats hide from people they don't like. The dog bites.

Either way, a pet can be quite comforting.

As far as games, play something simple and dumb such as Tetris, Pipe Dream, or Bejeweled. You're going for low complexity and repetitiveness. It will repeat on the back of your eyelids.

(Also, I recommend, say, counting in a foreign language as high as you can or putting on calming music.)

To add on, if you don't know a forgein language, playing the doubling game is really helpful.

Basically you start with 1, then double it, so it's 2, then 4, 8, 16, and so on and so on.

I used to play Solitaire before bed. It was just enough of a brain-teaser to keep me focused, but not engaging enough to keep me up.

And I got REALLY good at it.

I just don't know.

I think I love him.

And I know another loves me.

The first has a girlfriend already, but she doesn't deserve him. He's amazing, and she's a territorial female dog. I hate her. So. Much. I talk to him all the time, and it makes me feel kinda bad. I'm becoming the girl in the songs, the one who worms her way in until she gets what she wants. I don't want that. I just want him.

And then, there's the other. I know he likes me. He walks me to class everyday. He comes with me to the library, and meets me in the mornings. He leaves me little notes on my calculator and in my books and all. He thinks I'm beautiful and he tells me that all the time. But I'm not sure how I feel about him yet. But every day I see him, he's a little more gorgeous. And that scares me.

What do I do?

Wait on the second guy. Trust me, it will be more worth your time, and you have no way of knowing the first guy's feelings regarding you and others.
I say give the second guy a chance. It sounds to me like the first is more of a crush (besides, he has a girlfriend. He must be with her for a reason, and if he's not, he doesn't sounds like a good candidate anyway), but the second has possibilities. Then again that 'scares' you. Why?

(In my opinion) it's scary when faced with the possibility of a real "relationship" if you're not 100% sure you're ready for one.

By the way SC is describing it though, I think that she's made up her mind ;)

This second guy sounds really sweet. Puppy love can always become plenty more, if you're willing to go for it. :) Best of luck to you!
