Trait Assignment: For one of your assignments, you will write a paper on a human genetic trait. The trait could be one that runs in your family or one that you are interested in learning more about. Your paper should include but is not limited to the following information: What is currently known about the trait? Is it caused by one gene or more than one gene? Is the gene that causes the trait known? Is it known if the trait is recessive or dominant? Is the trait rare or not? A great website to visit to find the latest information on human genes and traits/diseases caused by mutations in human genes is the Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man (OMIM) website. The OMIM website database lists and describes many known gene traits and disorders. The paper will be double-spaced (Roman Times, Point 12) and six to eight pages in length.
Soooo pick one and vomit on the page.
I went with easy because she used Comic Sans on the syllabus and a smiley face on the goddamned rubric. I know this is community college, but for fuck's sweet sake.
I have another exam today.
no
no I don't want to do this
Wrote a long rant.
Now feel like breaking something.
I did not know I could actually authentically dislike a person some of my friends are close to, let alone actually feel like legit, hating them. This really is a first.
Just learned that, when you stab someone, it's important to have your thumb on the side of the knife opposite of the blade to prevent your hand from sliding down and getting cut along the knife.
The hard way.
Ow, ow, ow...
Actually, switchblades, bayonettes and the like have finger guards designed to prevent that.
Wait, you were stabbing people and more importantly, why did I think of that second?
I know, but most of the knives that are easy for me to obtain aren't designed for actually stabbing people.
And...yeah. I believe in strategic self defense. Long story.
