I am in a very lovely mood right now. And I thought I'd let you all know. *nods*

*goes off to make tea*
I should be doing my homework right now. :D
Writing a book review for English class.

Since I really loathed this book and apparently all my friends did too I doubt it'll be used again next year...
What book?
Shoulder the Sky by Lesley Choyce.

God awful dull as hell book. But my English teacher chose it because we met the author whose from around here. >.> I'm trying to be less harsh on it because my English teacher actually liked it.
Ohey, we talked to an author today via Skype. The second one this year. :DDD

What's it about?

Never heard of it. >.>
Ooh, cool. Was it an awesome author? 'Cause ours sucked... he basically told me everything Nanowrimo told me...

A kid named Martin Emerson who deals with the death of his mother. And to add some sort of zany twist to it he writes a blog to "help make the world a better place." It sounds interesting but is actually terribly boring.

Doesn't surprise me, until we met him I didn't even know the author existed.
Yesh. He was funny and awesome and... just amazing. :D

Wait, so yours was talking about writing? Ours was just talking about his book. But people got to ask him questions and have a conversation with him.

Ah. Could you see the appeal at all?

Yeah, I would never have heard of the two we talked to this year, had it not been for the class. But I'm really glad I got to read both books.
Awww. -Jealous-

Both. We talked a bit about his books and also about writing. I didn't ask any questions because I was severely disappointed with half of his answers. But yeah, people were allowed to ask questions at the end. The most memorable thing about the guy was his hair. >.>

Um.. I liked the blog part although it was later killed. Some of the thought that you might have in this book was kind of interesting and I liked a character or two but overall no.

What authors?
Oh, yeah, our whole thing was one big conversation. He didn't talk much about writing. It was a nonfiction book.

XD What was so special about his hair?

Ah, that's too bad. Was it long? Or quickly enough that you could just get it over with?

Daniel Pink and Cory Doctorow. Pink was the one we talked to today.
Oooh. Yeah ours writes fiction and our conversation was more, "What do you like about writing?"or, "How long on average does it take to write a book?" sort of thing.

.... This:

It was about two hundred pages but just sort of dragged on....

Sounds fun. :D -Hasn't heard of them before-
...Oddly smexy.

XD
