*loves* Aw... Megan I see so much of me in you, you're like the younger, slightly less nerdy, city version of me... I know how you feel, hon. And I'm here to say there's nothing to argue. We love you and that's all there is to it.
*giggles* I am that nerdy. You ask to be pointed towards the most nerdy kids in school, and you'll find me. Either the Drama geeks or the SAT score kids. I'm both...
*hugs and loves back*
See, I'm more of the nerdy loner kid. The one who got into a huge debate with a science teacher and a kid who thinks he's a computer nerd but totally isn't because he didn't even know what RAM stands for, about Linux vs. Windows vs. Mac. Yeah, I'm that kid. The one who has a poor citizenship grade in photography now, but god dammit the teacher and the entire class know that the teacher was WRONG about the newest version of Photoshop. The kid who gets up and walks away from her friends to sit alone and read or write.
I'm the one who sits with the kids who dress strangely, but looks plain in comparison. I'm the one who knows every little fun fact, but bar;y gets to use them. I'm the one who gets an A on the English test she didn't understand. I'm the one who stays home on the weekends to watch cartoons and talk online. I'm the one who giggles about random things that are fandom related. I'm the one who is afraid of talking on the phone and escalators. But will stand up and tell off a teacher (and subsequently fail their class because they hate me). I'm the one who has friends at school, but everyone knows I spend my weekends and evenings cooped up at home with the only people who tolerate me. The people who deal with me because they have to...
I have friends, but I'm a loser and don't go out with them, like, ever. I'm the one who fails classes because I sit there reading instead of paying attention. The one who laughs at fandom or internet jokes that nobody else gets. I'm the one who'd rather stay home and talk online than go out with actual people. I'm skipping homecoming since I just know that I'll have more fun staying home alone.
