:D Wow. My original post was worded so wrong... XD

I'm an anomaly, I think. I actually don't like the MR books themselves...I think I'm just attached to the types of people who read them. Because really, the fourth book and beyond ticked me off beyond belief, yet for some reason I spend all my time running MR sites...hmmm. But I'm not a full fledged anti or fan. As I have said in the past, I am a FAnti (now available in stores near you!).

It sounds like Fanta...xD

You're an Anti.

If she chooses to identify with the antis, anyways. She might not want to sign onto anything, just kinda float around...

*thinks of giant bubbles*

I just don't understand how I could be an anti if I'm running a huge MR site. 'Tis a mystery...

I'm just... kinda ranting for a bit. And it sort of relates, so I thought I'd stick it here...

Sane Fan: Not insane, capable of coherent thought regarding Maximum Ride.
This is turn often leads to the acknowledgement of series' flaws and acceptance of its imperfections, however they still like the series. This can then lead to criticism of Fax and a wider acceptance of alternative pairings. The ability to note these flaws, and retain an open mind can suggest some level of intelligence. Intelligence, which may then result in posts being legible and the correct use of grammar and spelling. The fact that you've then bothered to use correct grammar and spelling can then lead to irritation with those who haven't. For the same reasons, you might bash, or become irritated with other posters who refuse to think before contributing.

Sane Fans have been around for as long as the fandom has existed, however until relatively recently they were perfectly content to simply go by the name 'Fans'. At some point labels that were initially meant to differentiate between different views on books became more than that and it became necessary to establish the difference between 'Sane' fans and the other fans.

Anti Fan: At some point was a fan of the series, however due to general dissatisfaction with some element of Maximum Ride can no longer identify as a fan. This is often the result of the acknowledgement of series' flaws and acceptance of its imperfection. This can then lead to criticism of Fax and a wider acceptance of alternative pairings. The ability to note these flaws, and retain an open mind can suggest some level of intelligence. Being a Sane or Anti DOES NOT mean that you are more intelligent, that you cannot like cannon pairings, that you must correct grammar and spelling, that you must bash squees. These are behaviours that are often exhibited by people who share a view on a book, however not everyone who shares that view has to show those behaviours. Because, at the end of the day, that's what all we're talking about: Your opinion on a piece of crappy literature.

I agree. I saw some n00b try to bash Flying today, and it really pissed me off. Mainly because I didn't have an active account to go bash the hell out of the person, though. End, it's great you're getting an online army, but would you please explain to your minions that just because they've heard of you, and worship they internets you lurk over, DOES NOT make them a sane, it's a bloody opinion of the book.

They don't even remember/know the history of the site/fandom and they're off telling one of the oldest members on that damned site what an anti/sane are when she owns the anti thread. >.<'

Please, speak to them, they might listen to you. . . .

Not trying to bash me... Just trying to explain to me what a Sane and Anti were... and then deciding I looked intelligent enough to try and win over to one of those categories. Different.

But yes. It seemed rather ridiculous, and her descriptions were appalling too.

It was 'too soon to tell' if you were capable to show intelligence. . . .

She said I 'look pretty intelligent', just that she was afraid 'to speak too soon'. So, despite being incapable of looking at my page/ discussion list/ lurk/ something that would have tipped her off, she did actually mean well. Or, more than a year later, it still seems too early to tell...
